Bay K9 is a 501 (c ) 3 Non-Profit All Volunteer Search and Recovery team that provides support to the local community.  All members are highly trained and qualified in various aspects of search and rescue.  Team members are all NASAR certified at the SARTECH II/III level.  In addition, we have Maryland EMT-B's and man tracker training.

We provide team demonstrations to groups in the local area.   We present the Association of National Parks Rangers LOST BUT FOUND, SAFE & SOUND program. We provide informational programs on the Bloodhound and their capabilities.  All of these services are provided free.

Jim and Jan started this adventure in March of 2008 when they got the little bundle of bloodhound named Edgar.  He was 9 pounds when we brought him home.  He has since grown to be about 110 pounds of pure energy and delight.  In Match of 2010, we added Millie to our team.  Millie has grown and is now 90 pounds of fun.  We have grown and learned about the wonderful breed of dog.  They steal your heart and bring a smile to your face no matter what they are doing.
